Kidos Weekend!

Well we had a wonderful weekend! We took a well needed chill with the kidos weekend! Friday night we took the girls out to eat and to a Drive in Theater! They loved it!!! It was wonderful because they could roam around in the van all they wanted and no one carred when Emma or Caroline got loud. Just perfect for a family with kids!

Yesterday we spent the morning chilling out around the house. That afternoon Nathan did some work while the girls napped and I scrapped. Afterwards we took the girls to the Carousel here in town. They loved it! Emma kept saying Yee-ha!!

After the carousel, we then had dinner with my parents and then took the girls to visit our former dog liberty.

****Short story on her is that we adopted a stray black lab while Nathan was in Iraq and named her Liberty. Well, she was a doll but she would not stop running away and we live in town where she could get hit. So after I went on bedrest with Caroline I told Nathan that we just couldn't keep her anymore. A friend from church said he'd take her for a while or us...well....that was last October! So originally Liberty was astray found by my aunt and uncle in the country. When she arrived she looked like she had just weaned pups. Well they kept her until we moved into our new home. When she arrived she was pregnant agian! Last March we had 6 new pups! Uhh! So about 2 months ago our friend from church calls and says is Liberty fixed? Well, then she 's prenant! So once again this March she had 6 more puppies!!! So either the boys really like her...or well...she gets around! LOL! So 3 of the last 4 heats she's had pups! Yeah she need fixed for sure!!!

So we went to meet the new pups. They are so stinking cute at 7 weeks! That one is HUGE and he has the longest, thick, curly fur!

Inspiration Friday

So I decided to start something new on my blog! By browsing so many great blogs and gallaries on the net, I come across so many WONDERFUL creations. I really get inspired after seeing such great work and it makes me want to dive right into a new creation! So I decided to share some of the scrappers who inspire both me and my work! I will choose one each Friday and then at the end of the month one of these scrappers will get a RAK form me...just to keep things fun!

So, who did I decided to be my very first inspiration???
Alicia Giess

Not only is this galvery talented, but she is also a local friend who I met online and have scrapped with several times. Alicia is such a sweetheart and does such wonderful work. I love all her creative titles and jounaling...she never ceases to amaze me...and her doodling/hand-cutting/embellishment work. Alicia is currently on several design teams including: Mustard Moon, Dream Street Papers, Remember the Dayz, Scrap til Dawn, and A Peek into Yesterday.
So here are a few creatios by Alicia (gumpgirl on 2peas) Of course I had to included one that she did using the A2Z papers that were named after my girls!! (The last layout is the one with the line Sugar Candy - named after this blog!) Sorry the one pictures downloaded so much smaller??
You can also check out her online gallary here: http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/userprofile.asp?user_id=163406

Thursday 13 & A Couple of Cute Pics

So..I am totally stealing this idea from something I saw on fellow pea's blog awhile back. http://sentimentsbydenise.typepad.com/sentiments_by_denise/ So...Denise, this is after you! :P

1. Do you ever feel like Spring will NEVER come!!! I mean hello we finally get a few warm days back and then 47 and cold rain agian today! Uhh!

2. I've been on a Gotta love naptime for the girls! (too bad I have to choose now between napping myself or scrap'n??) Sleep or Creating??? Ahh who needs sleep! Live-Eat-SCRAP! HaHa!

3. I just want to throw in a "praise God" for my family's health!! We had few test results that we were waiting on and they are coming back ok. To God be the Glory! Nothing big...just something that needed to be checked on. You know, maintence medicine keeps the motor running!

4. Emma said F#rt today...you know the stinky word? She looked right at me and said "Mom, I F#rt." and pointed to her bottom! Where the beejeebers did she hear that! She can barely say 10 words but she says that! Yeah, she's going t0 cause problems in about 13 years! Our little trouble maker!

5. Caroline is drooling like crazy now. I don't feel any teeth yet, but there sure is enough drool to think that she has to be getting close!

6. I realized that stale Peeps are sooo much better than fresh Peeps. I know, but when you live in a house with toddlers sometimes things don't get put up like they should and you don't realize it until it's too late. So...I think from now on I will purposly leave them out. Really, they harden up and are not that gooey marshmallow texture.

7. Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE sugar?

8. We are currently doing a bible Study at our chruch on the book "Love and Respect" by Emerson Eggerichs. It is a must-have for every marriage I promise you! Definietly worth the read! You can find it here: http://resources.family.org/product/id/100623.do

9. Someday I want to go on a cruise. Hopefully a sooner someday rather than a later someday! Nathan wants an Alaskan, which sounds great, but only after a warm weather cruise!

10. I got to re-organize my scraproom the other day. Doesn't just feel wonderful to clean sometimes...ok...my OCD is coming out I know. But you know, sometimes it's just nice to have a clean slate to start from BEFORE you mess it up creating.

11. I got a pegboard for my scrap wall and I am now thinking..why didn't I do this before?? It's so nice to see everything hanging out in plain view. I am so much more likely to use them now that I see them while I am creating.

12. For all of our family...and friends too, Nathan has an important phone confrence tomorrow at 4:00pm EST if you guys could remember to say a prayer. As I have said before we are just waiting for God to move in our lives and lead us in the direction we are to follow.

13. The other day someone asked Maddelyn what her baby sister's name was. Her response "Well, first we going to name her Aquafina...yeah...and then we named her Caroline." Ok for those of you who don't know while I was still pregnant, Maddelyn decided to name her new sister Aquafina after the bottle water company!

Benefit Auction

For those of you who hang out on the Pub at 2peas, you know about Jen Gallacher and her son Joey. This amazing 12 year old boy is fighting a VERY tough battle with cancer. You can read more about it on Jen's blog http://jengallacher.blogspot.com/ A fellow Pea (Tania Willis) has set up a blog in order to help raise money to pay for some of the medical bills. So I have decided to help out by hosting a benefit auction on ebay and then donating the $ to the blog that has been set up for them. http://www.benefitforjen.blogspot.com/ You really should check out the blog to see how AMAZING it is! They have raised over $9000 already and tons and tons of prizes have been donated as well! Doesn't it just warm your heart to see so may people want to help! It sure inspired me!

Anyways....here is what was posted on 2peas this evening....

We all have been following the latest on what is happening with Jen Gallacher and her 12 year old son Joey who is fighting a battle with cancer. As many of you know, numerous scrappers have been helping to raise funds to off set the medical bills this family now has. We have such a talented group of scrappers here and what better than to use that talent to help another scrapbooker!!! To help out we will be hosting a Benefit Auction for Jen through a group auction on eBay. We thought this would be a great way for not only fellow Peas to help out but for other non-pea scrappers to get involved in a good cause. The way this will work is that I am in the process of collecting handmade projects to be sold in a group lot. These items can me anything from premade layouts to altered items to cards to even new scrap products themselves! If we end up getting enough donated I will be splitting the items up to hold a few different auctions. We'll just have to see what donations come in. If you decide to donate to the auction, all that will be needed is for you do package up your items that you wish to be auctioned off and mail them to me. I will them take care of taking the needed photos, scanning in items that need scanned and then creating the ebay listing. I will be keeping the board updated as things come in and will be linking the auction once it is up. If you're interested in helping out this family by donating an item to be auctioned off, then you can email me at glassslipper02@yahoo.com for info on where to send your donations. I will be accepting donations through May 16th. (Items must be in my hands ON/BEFORE the 16th to be included in the auction.) The donations will be added to the funds already being raised here on the Donations Blog As the auction draws closer I will be posting the eBay link as well as showing sneak peaks of a few of the items as they come in...just to tease you all a bit! Thanks everyone for all you have done this far to help out Jen and her family! I can't wait to see what creative things you guys can come up with!

So......if anyone out there in blogger land wants to help out...you're more than welcome to donate as well either to the auction or to the donations blog directly! As a little incentive, I know that their have been some ROCK'N prizes put up for those who contribute to the bog! Check it out!

I will be updating here as well as the auction items come in and as the ebay listing goes up! If you are not able to donate, I do ask that you hold Jen, Joey, and the entire Gallacher family in your prayers. As you can tell from reading Jen's blog, Joey is not doing very well and things are pretty stressful around thier house right now. As a mother of three little girls I can not even imagine being in Jen's shoes.

Great Wolf Lodge

Well we had a great weekend! My brother and his three kidos and my parents all met us up at Great Wolf Lodge Saturday night. We had been there in Feb. and just knew the kids would love going back with thier cousins this time. In my mom's family we chose to skip adult gifts at Christmas and then we take a family trip sometime in the early Spring. Well with everyone's scheduale, this is the first chance we have had to go.

They loved the whole thing, but of course the indoor waterpark was the favorite! Emma of course was fearless of the water..like always and Maddelyn would barely leave the baby pool...as always. Emma went down almost every slide in the park and giggled the whole way down! Maddelyn is doing the death grip and freaking out in the 3 foot deep LAZY RIVER! Man are they different! My newfew had a great time running around with Nathan and his dad. They did all that "guy stuff" like playing basketball in the water and such. The twins, Zoey and Regan were opposites just like my two about the water, but none as afraid as Maddelyn was. Zoey was a bit sheepish about the whole adventure thing but she would at least try things one time. Regan was second in courage right after Emma. It was so funny when Regan would go down a water slide and you would be at the bottom waiting to catch her. You knew she was coming because you could hear her giggling the whole was down! LOL! Caroline just chilled out in her cute suit in Grandpa's arms and we all juggled trying to keep tabs on Emma. You would turn your head for a split second and she would be across the other side of the baby pool getting out and headed straigh for the deeper water. She has absolutely no fear of water! We were ended up staying at the park yesterday afternoon and then came home at about 4:00. We were all whipped and the girls showed it today. They woke up at normal time, but they crashed really early this evening! I guess too much fun does that to you!

3 Months Photo Shoot!

Well it is already that time again! I can hardly believe that it's already time for her 3 month pictures! Wow! It is so wonderful to look back over her last months pictures and see how much she has changed! It's wonderful to see her little personality coming out already! Of course I only got one of her smiling. She would laugh at me and then as soon ans I would get back behind the camera to focus in for a shot she'd stop. I would peek out again and say her name and she would light up again and then of course as soon as I would get behind the camera gain she would lose her grin! Uhh!

The girls of course couldn't handle Caroline getting her pictures taken and them not (can't tell they are children of a scrapbooker can you???) so I of course had them sit down for a few as well. I can't wait to do a layout on Emma and her funny faces! Normal for a photo shoot with my 2 1/2 year old Emma! I told her to be silly and let me take her picture and I would give her....the magic word with Emma...CANDY! LOL! Works everytime with her! Don't you wish they could always be bribed with sweets???

Maddelyn of course was quite a bit different with taking pictures. She just sat right down and made up her own poses! What a ham! There IS a stage in Hollywood waiting for this girl!!!

I finally got the pictures form this weekend uploaded into the computer as well. Caroline's dedication went great an dit was so nice to have most of the family there for it. Besides Maddelyn being a ham on stage because hse saw herself in the TV monitors or her trying to pull up my skirt during the dedication, it went pretty well!
