Pregnancy Shoot

So I did my first pregnancy shoot tonight with my friend Gabrielle and her family. She's due in less than a week with #3 and I was honored that she let me take a few pictures of her family tonight. These are just some of my favorties! I think they turned out pretty nice even with me only using one of my light sets! Now....if she'll only hurry up and have sweet little Elias Cole so I can do that baby photo shoot! :D I love taking pictures of newborns! It was nice to play around taking pictures of adults as well. It was soooooo nice to not have to bribe them with candy or threaten or anything to get Gabrielle and BJ to smile in their couple photos. It's just too sad that this couple that we've grown close to at church will be leaving for Cleveland TN for him to get his theology degree at Lee University.

My Little Models

As I had mentioned last night I've been busy this week helping my friend Jenn get her custom boutique children's clothing up on ebay. Jenn made her clothes samples in my girls' sizes so they could model for ebay photos. These clothes are absolutely adorable and not just because my girls are wearing them! Maddelyn did a great job of modeling and of course had to ham it up a bit! I promise you there is a stage in Hollywood somewhere for this child!!!

Here is a link to all of Jenn's auctions. I know that she has more coming as well and they all have a low starting price! http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZalldolledup00QQssPageNameZSTRKQ3aMEWAQ3aMESOI

This Makes Me Smile!

Yes...that's Caroline playing peek-a-boo with the shower curtain during her bath. I was getting ready (you know...multi-tasking like mom's do) and she peeked her head around and giggled. When she saw that it got a laugh out of me she did it again. So she learned how to play peek-a-boo! It's so amazing to watch their little minds learn! She's really getting a personality right now and thinks just about everything is funny...especially if it envolves mommy or daddy saying "No Caroline!" Yes, she'll touch something and we'll say no and then she will reach for it again giggling. She thinks it's all a game! Great! But over all I would have to say these tiny battles still leave her being the best listening child of all three. Hard to imagine huh? We'll let's just say Caroline has never written with marker on my sink....crayon on the TV and My Little Pony.....snuck Easter Candy.....pushed her sister in a race to the favorite chair at the table...lied to mommy and daddy....oh, and that all happen yesterday by the way by the older 2!
We'll we are on the way out the door to Ballet and then are meeting my mom with my brother's kids at Chuckie Cheese to play some games with the girl's free birthday tokens. It's kinda a mini birthday celebration since today is my niece Regan's birthday and then yesterday was her twin sister Zoey's birthday. Yes...they were twins born before and after midnight so they got their own birthdays. I'll be back later on to post pictures of the FABULOUS custom kids clothes that my friend Jenn has been making for ebay and using my girls as models for.

Happy Easter ( a couple of days late!)

I know it's a couple days late but better late than never! HAPPY EASTER!!! So we had a great but busy day that day. Holiday Sundays are always busy, busy trying to get out the door for church. The girls had special cinnimon rolls for breakfast so we were too rushed to do baskets before church. After we came home from church we let the girls find where the bunny had hid thier loot. Caroline LOVE the basket...not the goodies...just the basket! She put a death grip on the handle and was not letting go. We wanted to take them outside for a few pictures after the baskets had been opened up. Well, the only way we got Caroline outside without tears was Natan picked up her, backset, and all and toted her out the door just like that. She's really into purses and such right now so the basket was just up her lane.

Saturday night after the party we came home to dye eggs. Well I knew that dye + Emma ='s trouble se we bought the kit that you can just use stencils on the eggs and decorate them with markers. Pretty Emma proof right? Well Maddelyn made these cute stencil designs on the eggs and Emma "dyed" her egg with marker. There could not have been any more blue on that one egg if it had been dyed? Needless to say both hands were stained blue as well. Oh well...we tried! Also the kids had to decorate their eggs on the floor of the kitchen because they would set one on the table after it was finished and then we would here.....roll...roll....crack as they fell on the floor. After about 3 casualties we decided to do them on the floor and not table.

After opening the baskets we got our stuff together and headed to my Aunt and Uncle's house in Willard. All my Mom's family got together for a cook-out...yes cook-OUT! My lovely uncle stood outside and grilled burgers, brats, and hot dogs for us. Maybe it's silly to you, but for us here in Ohio food outside on the grill is a wonderful sign that Winter will eventually end for us! Remember we had snow this past Friday night! After dinner some of the adults played Wii and the kids had our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Like many years before...we had to do it indoors. This is another normal for Easters in Ohio.

I will leave you with an amazing video that my friend Elaine had sent me this past weekend. I think this is one of the most powerful teen dramas I have ever seen a church do? Take a look it's worth the like 5 mintues! http://foresthill.lightcastmedia.com/console.php?u=3037&c=1559635575

On another note....remember how we've had trouble with people helping themselves to our belongings such as our pumpkins, snow shovel, trash cans, DVD player in the van, basically anything not bolted to the outside of our home and of course......being robbed while we were upstairs in bed??? Well you think, can anything else happen? HINT: never ask that question! Well the neighbor across the street had someone break in to their house while they were in bed Sunday night! The neighbor's bedroom is even on the first floor and everything and that didn't stop the robber! The person cut out 2 screens out trying to find a window unlocked and when they did they came in and helped themselves to the neighbor's wallet! Needless to say Nathan's first words were I'm buying a gun! My first words were "reason # 546 that we need to pray for this job that Nathan interviewed for last week!" We honestly don't live in a bad neighborhood. We live behind the hospital in a VERY quiet area. This all is just so frustrating!

Tea Party and Easter

So here are a *few* of the pictures from the party...seeing that I took like 150 pictures in 2 days! I LOVE digital cameras were you can delete the fuzzy pictures and only print your favorites. So here we go with Maddelyn's Tea Party for her 5th birthday. She had 11 little ladies in attendance and of course they all had a blast.

Here is one of the 2 table settings. Yes...very girly!

My best friend in Alicia's mom made these BEAUTIFUL tussie mussies for each of the little ladies at are tea. Alicia had a tea party when she was little and her mom had made these up then and now offered to make them for Maddelyn. These were probably the biggest hit at the party with the girls. THANKS Joye!

Maddelyn's best friend Miss Lizzie
Emma and her true personality shining thorugh! Oh Emma!

The girls' Grandma and Grandpa from PA came in for the party and brought their new cousin Aliya as well. It's amazing how small Caroline is when her cousin who was born in January weigh's 1/2 as much as she does! My little peanut is just now 21 pounds at 15 months!

As a craft the girls got to pick out flowers to be glued on to their tea party hats. How cute they were all wearing them.

We had a mini lesson on being lady-like, such as how to curtsy, let gentlemen open up doors for them, posture, crossing thier ankles when sittings and such. As a game we then had them see who could walk the fastest with high heels and a book on their head. Too cute! We also played musical chairs.
Here's Maddelyn with a couple of her gifts, the sleeping bag from Aunt Donna and a doll from Aunt Edna.

I will have to wait until tomorrow to post all the Easter pictures...eventhough they are just as cute as the party ones. I need ot head to bed though since we have MOPS tomorrow. Have a great night.
